IDSA Competence Centre Portugal

The IDSA Competence Centre Portugal was created on March 1, 2024, and publicly presented at a ceremony held in the Academic Hall of the Central Building and Rectory of the University of Aveiro on June 6, 2024, as a joint initiative between the International Data Spaces Association and TICE.PT, the Portuguese Information, Communications and Electronics cluster.

Since then, TICE.PT has been responsible for the dynamization and operation of IDSA's Portuguese hub.

IDSA's hubs and competence centers

Create bridges for the growth and adoption of the results produced by IDSA in their countries

Disseminate applications based on IDS

Disseminate the <strong>IDS (International Data Space) </strong>standard for data sovereignty and data ecosystems

Promote and coordinate research and development projects to further develop the IDS standard

Develop cooperation with R&D organizations and companies in their national ecosystem to create awareness of the importance of data sovereignty and transfer knowledge

Recruit new IDSA members

As TICE.PT is also responsible in Portugal for the Gaia-X Hub Portugal, a convergent and aligned line will be developed between the two initiatives, all the more so given the obvious fact that both complement each other and add to facilitating and accelerating the construction of the new data economy.
