Participation in the AveiroTechCity Challenges Jury

The TICE.PT as a partner entity of CMA in the Aveiro Tech City initiative, participated in the jury of Aveiro Tech City Challenges 2023 that had its project selection process in June.

The Aveiro Tech City initiative aims to attract to Aveiro innovative projects that allow positioning Aveiro on the path of innovative, sustainable and inclusive cities. This initiative has as one of its main objectives to assume the city of Aveiro as a living laboratory, enhancing the use of the Aveiro Tech City Living Lab, the only laboratory in Portugal with an operational 5G network in the urban center of a city, to support and boost innovative projects.

The selection process ended up choosing 4 finalist projects, which respond to 3 of the 4 challenges posed: Urban Challenge #2 - Digital Work Book: Implementation of a digital work book that supports the digital transformation of the on-site inspection processes, won by imDigital; Urban Challenge #3 – Integrated Management of Sports Infrastructures: Integrated management system of IE (sports) that allows the sharing of resources between entities, as well as communication, dynamization and use by the general public, won by Craftable Software; and Aveiro Tech City Living Lab - it is intended to select 2 Projects that take advantage of the existing infrastructure in Aveiro (see in the Resources area - Aveiro Tech City Living Lab) and that intend to develop projects in the area of Smart Cities and Internet of Things, won by the companies DeepNeuronic and 3FINERY LTD.

The kick-off meeting of the 4 selected projects took place on June 22, and an intense period of work should follow with a view to the public demonstration of them throughout Aveiro Tech Week 2023, between 2 and 7 October 2023.
