Breakfast with... ínCentea

On June 28th, the presentation of ínCentea took place in the initiative "Breakfast with...".

They are defined as a group of companies providing professional services in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies, Marketing and Innovation, Business Consulting, and Product Engineering.

It currently has 343 employees and reached in 2022 a turnover of 21 million euros, of which 22% was carried out in international markets.


António Poças and Paulo Martins were the two speakers representing ínCentea in the Webinar.

They made a historical and chronological framework of the company, talked about the business and objectives outlined and achieved with Portuguese companies and, mainly, the internationalization achieved since 2007.


It was a very fluid, interesting conversation and huge exchange of interests with regard to the growth of a company through adaptation to the needs of the market and, mainly, respect for the customer and the help that can be given to each specific entity.


ínCentea was born in 1987, integrated in an industrial group of Leiria, still with the name of Leirisic.

At the end of 2000, through an MBO (Management Buy-Out) operation, a group of employees acquires control of the company and begins to define a growth strategy based on a partnership policy.

In 2004 they began a process with the objective of growing the company and, at the same time, a path to increase this growth was strategically defined, through partnerships with cross-shareholdings.

The 2 axes of action defined were:

  • Geographic broadening: looking for companies in places where we did not have a direct presence;
  • Complementarity of solutions: namely in the areas of web solutions, communications and management consulting.

It was in 2004 that, with the integration of Datamex, that inCentea was created, and has continued to this day, having carried out more than 40 operations of acquisition or exchange of shares.

In 2007 they started the internationalization project. With the participation of some competitors and business partners, a Portuguese company was created that unified the common efforts of internationalization.

Subsequently, companies were created in Cabo Verde, Angola, Moçambique and São Tomé e Príncipe and acquired a company in Spain.

In 2011 they defined a new strategic cycle in which they identified Innovation as a new "attitude", of being, thinking and acting.

Finally, in 2018, they began a new phase of consolidation of the organization, with the objective of focusing on the core business and centered on the autonomy, segmentation and specialization of the business units. To carry out this consolidation of the business they decided to reinvest in internationalization and that is how they advanced to Brasil, and already in 2021, to França and Guineé-Bissau.


Currently their main objective is to appear in the market as Trusted People, who generate Value, in this sense, in order to ensure a sustained growth in the long term, they seek:

  • Help customers be more competitive and succeed;
  • Ensure a good working environment and the development of employees;
  • Ensure a fair remuneration of the investments made by the shareholders;
  • Be innovative in the way we work and the technologies we use;
  • Intervene civically, responsibly, in the communities in which we operate.
