Webinar "DADOS: o novo recurso"

TICE.PT is organizing, within the scope of the Gaia-X Hub Portugal project, a Webinar that has as its motto the explanation and discussion of the importance of DATA as a resource on the rise.

The main objective of this event is to make known the work that has been done around DATA by the TICE.PT and the initiatives that support it, especially Gaia-X.
Data is the resource of the future and is the foundation for informed and accurate decision-making in all sectors of the economy. With the growth of digitalization in society as a whole, they will be an increasingly abundant raw resource, which makes their analysis crucial for identifying trends, predicting results and improving efficiency.
The increasing open sharing of data together with its monetization will be a multiplying factor of data generation, which will bring big responsibility.
It is important to ensure that all such Data is collected, stored and used ethically and responsibly, ensuring the protection of individuals' privacy and its legitimate use. Even though there are still limiting factors, technology is evolving extremely fast and data itself is the key to unlocking its potential.

Gaia-X is working to ensure that Data is used for the good of humanity by developing policies and rules, regulatory and technical frameworks, and open source software, to achieve full transparency, security, sovereignty, controllability, and fairness in Data sharing.

At the end of 2023, and as an accelerator, a group of TICE.PT members established themselves in a consortium for the application of a national Test-Bed in the area of data (EDX-Test Bed), in order to provide support to SMEs in the best use of their data and applications.
