Mission:

Promoting integration between technology, the environment, and society through the development and sharing of knowledge, digital tools, and best practices that contribute to:

  • monitoring and improving environmental quality (air, water, energy, noise, waste);

  • the green digital transition;

  • innovation in urban and natural ecosystems;

  • the use of scattered environmental data to create value, working with it.

Strategic Objectives:

  • stimulate collaborative R&D+i projects in the areas of the environment and sustainability,

  • support the digitisation of environmental management processes,

  • promote interoperability and standardisation of environmental data,

  • create synergies between technology companies and environmental entities,

  • contribute to the national climate and digital transition policy.

Integration in the TICE.PT Ecosystem:

The Environment Working Group will work in coordination with other TICE.PT working groups, particularly in the following areas:

  • Smart and Sustainable Communities,

  • Data and Digital Platforms

  • Energy and Mobility

  • Digital Transformation in Public Administration

In this way, GTAmb reinforces the role of TICE.PT as a facilitator of convergence between technology and environmental sustainability, in line with the European goals of the Green Deal and Digital Transition.
