DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATION:

CONNECT5 is a Digital Innovation Hub focused on supporting the digital transformation of companies and entities in the national public sector, with financial support from the Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Portuguese Republic and the European Union.

The DIH CONNECT5 received the European Commission's Seal of Excellence in 2022, as an integral part of the initial network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) promoted under the DEP - Digital Europe Programme.

The CONNECT5 is coordinated by the TICE.PT Cluster involving entities specialized in the areas of information, communication and electronic technologies, namely, the Interface Centers CeiiA and Telecommunications Institute, the DTx Colab and higher education institutions Universidade de Aveiro, Universidade da Beira Interior, Universidade de Coimbra, Universidade de Minho, Universidade de Porto, Instituto Politécnico do Porto, Instituto Politécnico de Viseu e o Politécnico de Leiria. 

OBJECTIVES:

The DIH/Digital Innovation Hub CONNECT5 proposes to be your partner in the Digital Transformation process and to support your organization – SME or public administration entity – to achieve its digitalization goals.

At the DIH CONNECT5, we help national companies, regardless of their business sector, and public entities, namely municipalities, to achieve their digitalization goals – supported by a set of tools, services, training opportunities and collaborative networks.

If you are still undecided on how to approach digital or if you already have complex digitalisation challenges to tackle, DIH CONNECT5 is your partner on this path.

In addition to the technological demonstration and testing environments provided by the consortium members, the CONNECT5, through members of the TICE.PT Cluster, will provide additional infrastructure and skills that will support its digital journey.

The services that the CONNECT5 will provide are:

• Testing - Experimentation and testing of digital technologies
• Training - Qualification and training in digital skills
• Investing - Support in finding financing for investment in digital technologies
• Network - Acting as a facilitator
• Incubation - Providing support to startups to foster the entrepreneurship ecosystem, through incubation/acceleration services.

RESULTS:

Provide digital transition services to 455 companies.
